WorldWide Shelter Drive Dates

Adopters should keep in touch with their shelters at least monthly to make sure they don't have any urgent needs BUT, shelters, rescues and foster families ALWAYS need HELP...

Here is a list of the MAIN Drive Dates...

Spring - 3/20/12
Summer - 6/20/12
Fall - 9/22/12
Winter - 12/21/12

:) Hopefully we can get a Rep in each state with at least 1 shelter/rescue adopted for the Spring drive... what do you think? think we can do it? I think so but I need your help!  Please share!

love

My Little Shelter Volunteering Training Begins !!! YAY!

I AM SO SO SO SO SO HAPPY!!!!!

Today I got the call from LITTLE SHELTER ' Volunteer Trainer ~ Bob!!! Remember when I said back a few days ago that they made me an honorary Volunteer? WELL... He called today to set up my appointment for my Volunteer Training!!!

I will get to help out in the CATTERY, and of course anything else they need while I am there BUT, Arleen (manager) said I was a natural with the kitties... SO She asked me If I would want to learn how to HELP socialize the cats, as Madelyn one of the cats who usually is not very friendly TOOK to me RIGHT away!! So she saw how much the Kitties LOVED Me, and of course I love them!! I get to learn how to socialize them and teach them how to LOVE kids!!! Soooooo I will be the HANDS on kid who shows them that kids are there to love them and so they will hopefully see kids and run up to them and I HOPE I help them find homes easier.. Since the cattery has 398 cats and at this point probably more, I am so happy to be able to show cats that kids can love them!!

I can't wait!!! Saturday from 2-5 I'll be in training!!! and then I'll be able to go to Little shelter to volunteer ANYTIME I want...Ohhhh Moooooooom.... you know I want to be there like any day I am free right?

Well... thats my day today... Lots and LOTS of amazing news!!! Oh yea and come on Kids..... Adopt a shelter.... and Parents Represent a State!!! I need you!!!

Love Sean

Little Shelter and me 12/23/11 ~ One of the BEST days of my life!

After 2 months of collecting items such as towels, sheets, food, toys, treats, clothes and more.... I finally made my delivery to Little Shelter.... I am vowing to take my mission all over the world!

Arleen the owner is an amazing lady and I am so appreciative of being able to spend some time with her... she gave me a tour of the Cattery, which houses 398 cats! I was stalked by a few cats who I was able to give some love to while I was there... she took me to visit some new puppies who are not ready for adoption yet, they are brand new at Little Shelter, they are So fluffy and cute... I got to meet all of the dogs who currently are hoping to be adopted! I saw many of the donations I collected put to use! Each staff member came and took things they needed and the stuff that they had left over went into their pantry which will get shared with other shelters!!!

I became an honorary volunteer... I am now working with my brother Zac to make some Public Service Announcements and also videos to TEACH kids all over the country HOW to do a good thing locally.... SO step 1... gather up some recruits!!!!

:)
