Dog and Cat of the week on Kids Adopt A Shelter!

So after my last visit to Little shelter, we created our video tour of Little Shelter.
See Video here:
YOU TUBE VIDEO TOUR HERE

On the way home, I was brainstorming, which seems to be when I come up with ideas... After I spend time with the animals... I think of new ways to help them.. I decided that Kids Adopt A Shelter sees so many animals each day that people never really get to know and see them ... as there are so many how do you read each story?
Sooooo I decided each week I will pick on Thursdays one dog story and one cat story to be featured on my page ALL week... I will post their story all week long... Asking my fans to SHARE and cross post that story from Friday - the following Thursday of each week. I want people to see the story, share the story.. I may not be able to save every dog and cat that goes flying by my page BUT I can make an extra effort for a special dog and cat each week and HOPE by my giving them a week of attention that they get adopted!!!

So how do you get your story featured?
Email me kidsadoptashelter@gmail.com --
The story and Why your dog /cat or litter should be featured... Id like to feature dogs and cats that NEED a home.. but if you know a remarkable dog or cat that NEEDS to be featured well send me the story!

Do you know a kid who is out there making a difference? I want to hear those stories too... and Id like to share them as well!

This weeks Dog and Cats are:
NATE - On March 3rd 2011 Nate was rescued by our Animal Cruelty officer for extreme neglect. He immediately won over the staff and volunteers with his sweet personality and his enthusiasm for life. He did not let his horrible beginning in life sour his outlook on people. He greets all people as a friend. Nate and I work together every day on basic manners. He knows sit, down, paw, leave it, and heel. He loves nothing more than playing fetch. I have taken him on several field trips to the beach and my house, he loves it and is very well behaved. Nate would do best as an only dog or I would have adopted him myself. He is a blue pitbull, about 2 years old, neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. He is a fabulous dog who has waited over a year for a home. He is available through the Delaware SPCA, Georgetown shelter
